All Staff
All staff members whose job role requires the use of a Randolph Business Phone shall be authorized to use the 8x8 Work App. The Primary computer assigned to 8x8 users shall have the 8x8 App automatically installed. If you are unable to locate the application, submit a Help Desk request so that the app can be assigned to your device.
Use the App as you would like a physical office telephone.
Randolph's employee behavior etiquette is that in addition to Microsoft Teams for collaboration, the 8x8 Work App should be running on your computer anytime you are working so that contacts can use voice calling to reach you.
Notes for using 8x8:
- Do not dial a prefix for an outside line (Do not dial 9)
- When you are NOT working from within the Randolph Office Location, Set your 8x8 Emergency Location
- Use your 8x8 Settings to define your working (business) hours to dismiss calls (to voicemail) when you are not working
Call Center Agents
To connect to the Contact Center, use your browser to visit: https://apps.8x8.com
After logging into your account, you will be shown an 8x8 Application Panel.
Then, click on the Contact Center Agent Workspace application tile.
You will then be connected to the 8x8 contact center and your state shall begin as On Break.
Click the Ready for work button to change your status to Ready and allow the contact center to route call activity to your 8x8 phone.
