At Randolph we utilize the security feature of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Two-factor verification is more secure than just a password because it relies on two forms of authentication:
- Something you know, like your password
- Something you have, like a phone or other device that you carry
Two-factor verification can help stop malicious hackers from pretending to be you. Even if they have your password, odds are that they don't have your device, too.
Periodically you may need to change the MFA information you have assigned to your account, such as after a change to your mobile phone number.
To update your security information follow these steps:
- Visit OFFICE.COM and login using your Microsoft account.
- In the upper right of the browser page, Click on the Avatar for your account and then select View my account
- When your account information appears, under the Security info tile, click on UPDATE INFO
- Click the Change option alongside the security contact method you'd like to change, such as changing your Mobile Phone Number
Submit a Randolph IT Help Desk ticket if you have any issues with performing this process on your account.
