These setup instructions are to configure your "Custom" state to be used as your call-forwarding mode.  After you complete these instructions,

simply set your mode to Standard (or Available) and this call-forwarding is OFF.  When you enable custom mode, your phone's call forwarding is ON.


  1. On your Mitel (Shoretel) work phone, Press the Mode button (or State, displayed on some phone modelsand select Custom.

  2. Press the Option button and enter your voice message password, followed by the # sign or press the OK button

  3. The Call Handling option should be highlighted, press the Edit button.
    This takes you back to the Call Handling mode options, Custom should be highlighted.
    Press the Edit button once more.

  4. Scroll to Always Destination,
    there should be a three digit number in that field,
    press the Backspace button to clear it
    and enter 9, then 1, the area code and phone number of your other phone


Reminder: For you to receive calls to your other phone, you will need to be in Custom mode.
Simply press the Mode button and select Custom to start forwarding your calls.

Whenever you want to stop the calls from going to your other phone,
press the Mode button and select Standard for the calls to ring to your work phone.
