Adding an Apple MacOS Device to the RANDOLPH Domain

 Joining the Domain is required for the computer to access other equipment

 such as printers or storage devices on the company network.

This Procedure Requires a Domain Administer Login



 From the device (e.g. MacBook Pro):

 1. Click "System Preferences" in the Dock,

          and then select "Users & Groups" in the System section


 2. Click the "Lock" icon

          and enter an administrator username and password


 3. Click "Login Options,"

          and then click the "Join" button in the Network Account Server section.


 4. Click the "Open Directory Utility..." button


 5. Click the "Lock" icon

          and enter an administrator username and password,

          and then select the "Modify Configuration" button


 6. Select "Active Directory,"

          and then click the Pencil icon


 7. Enter the domain : randolph.com

 8. Enter a computer name in the Computer ID field, (e.g. REUSMB0000)

          and then click the "Bind..." button


 9. Enter an administrator username and password in the Username and Password field


10. Click "OK,"

          and then select "Apply."

Reboot the system to apply all changes
